Little Miss Revlon was made by the Ideal Toy Corp. in the late 1950s during the “Glamour Fashion Doll” period. The baby boomer girls were now preteens and young teens and were more interested in fashion and makeup and less interested in baby dolls. These LMRs had dozens of outfits available, and were very popular for several years until the introduction of Barbie eventually blew away the other small fashion dolls. This young lady has blue eyes and she wears her blond hair in a ponytail. Her “high color” paint is perfect and her stringing is very good. The back of her head is marked Ideal and VT-10 1/2. She was played with but I would rate her as VGUC. There is no damage or chew marks etc. to the body but please use the photos and the enlarging tool to check for yourself. She is wearing an off the shoulder black taffeta cocktail dress with a leopard print bodice in a fit and flare style. It is vintage 1950s and I found it mentioned in several LMR articles and books that I researched, but it is untagged and cannot be verified that it was made by Ideal. (see last photo).She is also wearing pearl drop earrings, a pearl necklace and her original black plastic bow shoes. On her head is a leopard headband hat that I made to match her dress and she is carrying a matching little clutch purse with a pearl button. Lastly her black lace chemise undergarment is newly made. I think she looks very elegant and ready for a special party or a night on the town!
